Ichthys Christian symbol. Early Christians were persecuted for their faith, and they could not be open about it. o when they meant another person whom they suspected was a believer, they would draw a curved line on the ground with their foot. If the other person was also a believer, they would understand the "code" and complete the fish symbol with another curved line.
